Skype for Asterisk Discontinued

Skype Logo Rod Montgomery of the Digium Product Management Team announced today that Skype for Asterisk will not be available for sale or activation after July 26, 2011. One can only assume that Microsoft is not interested in having skype on any platform but there own.

OpenSIPS 1.6.1 Released

OpenSIPSOpenSIPS 1.6.1 was released just in time for the holiday season.

This is first minor release of the OpenSIPS 1.6 branch. It contains bug fixes and some performance improvements. All functionality related to scripting and system interfacing remains unchanged. Bogdan-Andrei Iancu, the lead developer behind the OpenSIPS project, noted that OpenSIPS 1.6.1 contains important performance enhancements related to memory and registration support. This point release also addresses important improvements to OpenSIPS stability.
